DEAN HENDERSON is set to leave Manchester United, according to reports.
And there is no shortage of Premier League interest in the goalkeeper, with Newcastle the favorite for his signing, according to Sky Bet.
However, Eddie Howe and Co. could face stiff competition from several Premier League rivals including West Ham, Watford and Crystal Palace.
Sky Bet also believe Ajax, Brentford and Norwich could challenge if the Red Devils chiefs give the green light to his departure.
The 24-year-old is firmly behind David de Gea in the Old Trafford pecking order.
He has only started once in the Carabao Cup loss in September to West Ham under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer this season.
And this despite the end of the 2020-21 campaign as United’s first choice.
Additionally, Henderson lost his England No.2 position to Arsenal star Aaron Ramsdale, who won his first senior cap against San Marino.
Dean Henderson next club
Sky Bet odds
- Newcastle – 3/1
- West Ham – 6/1
- Ajax – 8/1
- Brentford – 8/1
- Norwich – 12/1
- Watford – 12/1
- Crystal Palace – 14/1
SunSport understands United will license Henderson leave with an 18-month loan contract in January until June 2023.
However, 90min claim that Henderson is pushing for a permanent sale because he is “unsure” of the benefits of a long-term loan.
The former Sheffield United lender is at the mercy of United chiefs as he has signed a six-year contract with the club which expires in 2025.
But if a deal is struck, Newcastle are the main contenders at 3/1 odds to secure a permanent or loan deal during the January transfer window with Sky Bet.
West Ham is next in the betting market at 6/1, ahead of Dutch heavyweights Ajax and Brentford at 8s.
Norwich and Watford are stuck together at 12/1 with Crystal Palace of Patrick Vieira the underdog at 14/1.
