How to apply for admission, transfer college


The University of Delhi (DU) will start the admission process against the third threshold tomorrow, October 18th. Applicants will need to register online on DU’s official website at or to verify their documents. The admission process will continue until October 21 and the last date for the payment of fees is October 23.

Applicants should keep their documents ready prior to the start of the admissions process. They also need to check the college threshold and calculate their “best of four” for applying to a particular college and course.

Admissions FROM 2021: Documents required for registration

– Class 10 certificate of completion indicating the date of birth, the name of the parents

– Grade 12 grade sheet

– Government proof of identity

– SC, ST, OBC, EWS, CW, KM, EWS certificate, if applicable

– OBC certificate (non-creamy) (on behalf of the applicant), if applicable

– ECA certificates and sports quotas, if applicable

– Scanned copy of passport size photo

– Scanned copy of the signature of the applicant

Step 1: Select a college and program of your choice according to the threshold

Step 2: Go to the official DU website and log into the Applicant Dashboard

Step 3: Register using the required credentials. Download the required documents

Step 4: Once the college has confirmed admission, pay the fee to reserve the place

A candidate is allowed to select one college and one program per selection list. Multiple selections of colleges and courses are not allowed, the university said in an official notice earlier.

DU will automatically calculate the best of the four scores provided by the candidate during admissions. During the verification of the documents, if an anomaly is noticed by DU, the admission will be rejected. Documents uploaded by applicants will first be verified by the respective colleges. Failure to provide documents will result in cancellation of admission. Candidates whose applications are rejected within this deadline will be considered as new candidates and will be authorized to apply during the following deadlines.

DU Admissions 2021: How to transfer college, course

Students who have already applied for a particular college or DU course are allowed to change their preferences by canceling their existing application. These applicants should apply for a new one along with their new choice of college and / or program. Those whose admission was approved by the respective colleges in the second round and now wish to withdraw it will have to pay the cancellation sum of Rs 1000, which is not refundable.

The third threshold published by DU saw the threshold still above 90%. At top colleges such as Miranda House, Hindu College, LSR, etc., the most sought after courses have already closed admissions. DU will release a total of five cuts this year. A special cut-off list would also be released on October 25.
