BORUSSIA DORTMUND fear Erling Haaland is heading to Manchester City this summer.
The German giants were hoping to persuade their Norwegian star to stay with them for another season.
However, the 21-year-old has a release clause in his contract which comes into effect this summer.
And Haaland is ready to take advantage and move on during the tight season – with City, Real Madrid and Barcelona all showing interest.
Sunsport reported on Wednesday that the young striker is warming up to the idea of following in his father’s footsteps and joining City.
Alf Inge played for the club between 2000 and 2003 and – along with agent Mino Raiola – plays a key role in his son’s future.
And reports in the Daily Mail now suggest Haaland has agreed personal terms with Pep Guardiola’s side in a deal worth up to £100million.
Haaland has a £64m release clause in his Dortmund contract – a pinch for such talent – but his agent Mino Raiola is also set to earn a substantial payment.
That fee, along with a signing bonus, will likely bring the total to nine figures.
Former Haaland Sr teammate Shaun Goater – who is now back at the Etihad – hinted earlier this year that a deal with Erling was “so close”.

Dortmund were looking for mega-money last summer – meaning City turned their attention to England captain Harry Kane.
Their failure to seal that deal has left City playing the majority of the season without a proven striker, fielding false 9s yet to replace Sergio Aguero.
Haaland’s release clause and his age make him a much more realistic target this time around and the champions have worked hard to ensure they are ready to pounce at the end of the season.
Dortmund want a quick response from the former Red Bull Salzburg striker so they know where they stand – but the signs are they won’t get the one they wanted.
Haaland has scored an astonishing 80 goals in 79 games for Dortmund since joining from Red Bull Salzburg in 2020.
But he has been out since early February with a muscle injury and is nearing a return to the side.
